SiebenCarey Sponsors Annual Health Conference for Minnesota Chapter of the National Scleroderma Foundation
Honors Memory of Attorney and Partner Shannon Carey
SiebenCarey has joined the fight against a rare and sometimes deadly disease with no known cure by sponsoring the annual health conference of the Minnesota Chapter of the National Scleroderma Foundation.
“We witnessed the effects of this terrible disease as family, friends, and colleagues of my dear cousin Shannon Carey,” said Jim Carey, SiebenCarey Managing Partner, when announcing the sponsorship. “Our hope in supporting the conference is to help those who have scleroderma and their families and contribute in some small way to awareness and education.”
Ann Mogilevsky, Minnesota Chair of the Upper Great Lakes Chapter Advisory Committee for the National Scleroderma Foundation, thanked Jim and the law firm for their sponsorship:
“Scleroderma is a challenging autoimmune disease that affects an estimated 300,000 individuals like Shannon in the United States,” she said. “The National Scleroderma Foundation plays a vital role in providing support, resources, and funding for research to advance treatments and ultimately find a cure for this complex condition. We very much appreciate SiebenCarey's generosity for this year's health conference.”
The conference – scheduled for Sept. 21 at the Minnetonka Community Center – will bring together top experts, medical professionals, and the scleroderma community for education sessions, inspiring stories, and shared resources.
