SiebenCarey is pleased to announce Susan M. Holden and Shannon C. Carey have been selected as "The Top Women Attorneys in Minnesota". This selection was made from the women who were selected to the 2012 Minnesota Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists.Susan Holden, selected a Top 50 Women Super Lawyer, has been honored in the Minnesota Super Lawyers annual selection for the last ten years. Just five percent of all lawyers in Minnesota are named to this list every year by Super Lawyers. Super Lawyers rate lawyers who have attained a high-degree of professional achievement. Attorneys are selected based on a rigorous, multi-phase rating process that includes peer nominations, evaluations and third party research.Holden, a partner at SiebenCarey, is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association, a distinction achieved by less than one percent of women lawyers in Minnesota. She focuses her practice in the areas of wrongful death, catastrophic injury, product liability, construction site and automobile accident insurance litigation. Holden is a respected ADR neutral providing mediation and arbitration services, and notably was selected to chair the State of Minnesota's 35W bridge collapse compensation process in which all 179 claims were successfully resolved. She is active in bar leadership within the state and nationally.Shannon Carey was named to the 2012 Rising Stars list published by Super Lawyers magazine. Each year, Super Lawyers rates outstanding lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. The list highlights emerging attorneys who are either under the age of 40 or who have been practicing law for ten or fewer years. The selection process includes peer nominations by attorneys named to the Minnesota Super Lawyers list and independent research on the candidates to identify outstanding up-and-coming attorneys who have demonstrated superior professional potential.Carey gained her first legal experience as a law clerk at the firm and today practices in all areas of personal injury law and medical malpractice. In 2011, Shannon received Minnesota Lawyer's "Up and Coming Attorneys" award.
