Auto Insurer Wrongly Denies Benefits After Car Accident
Our client was wrongfully denied no-fault benefits from her insurance company. She was the passenger in a vehicle involved in a head-on collision when the driver attempted to pass a slower vehicle. The driver of her vehicle was killed as a result of the accident and our client sustained significant injuries.
Even though her policy's coverage extended to her riding as a passenger in someone else's vehicle, her insurance company refused to pay. By denying our client her benefits, the insurance company failed to comply with her insurance contract, as well as with Minnesota state law. Because of the injuries she sustained in the accident, our client was forced to leave her assignment with the National Guard and was left to raise two children with no financial support.
Jeff Montpetit recovered a total of $215,000 from both our client's insurer and the insurance company for the driver of her vehicle.
