Our client was on his way to work at 4:54 am. He was struck head on by a vehicle that lost control, slid across the center line and struck our client's vehicle.

The impact of the collision was so severe that our client's vehicle was totaled.  The vehicle was cut open to remove our client, who suffered from multiple injuries and was unresponsive when the emergency personnel arrived at the scene.  He was rushed to Mercy Hospital where he was treated for his serious injuries. He suffered a complex skull fracture, facial bone fractures, pulmonary contusions and a fracture of his left femur with an associated left patellar fracture.  When he was finally discharged from the hospital and transferred to a rehabilitation facility, he received on-going care related to his traumatic brain injury. His medical bills exceeded $300,000.

Our client continues to experience only 50% strength on the left side of his body.  His left foot is numb and partially paralyzed, which requires that he wear a brace.  He is having many significant residuals from the brain injury. Our client was not able to return to work after the accident.

Art Kosieradzki settled the claim against the at fault driver's insurer as well as our client's own underinsured policy for the policy limits.  Art was able to resolve the claim within four months after the accident.
